It was tragic to see such haughty behavior from a sales representative at Victoria's Secret when all I tried to buy was a pack of mints. I guess she thought I wasn't worth much respect because I was buying oodles of lingerie. Who is she to turn her nose at me when she performs a job a teenager can exercise simply because I was spending an insubstantial amount of money?
A better word:

supercilious
